Replied to survey in 2011:

Question 1. The Scottish Parliament should continue to call on the UK government not to go ahead with the current proposal to replace Trident.
- Yes

Question 2. The Scottish Parliament should call on the UK government to cease the deployment of Trident
- Yes

Question 3. The Scottish Parliament should support a Nuclear Weapons Convention (a global ban on nuclear weapons).
- Yes

Question 4. Are you for or against the construction of new nuclear power stations in Scotland ?
- Against

"The SNP has a long and proud history of opposing nuclear weapons of mass destruction and nuclear power generation in Scotland and beyond. The continued presence of these immoral weapons in Scotland highlights the foreign policy hypocrisy of the UK Government who have supported wars and foreign invasions based on false pretexts.

“I have no doubt that an independent Scotland would ensure the end of these horrific weapons and the money used to maintain them instead invested in health, education, housing and ending the scandal of poverty which is a blight on our entire community.”

Replied to survey in November 2006 saying She was opposed to the upgrading or replacing of Trident and said "Nuclear weapons are aphorrent. It is impossible to support the logic of prohibiting other nations from developing nuclear capaqcity while the UK Government retains them. An Independent Scotland would lead by example and be a Nuclear free zone"
