December 2009 - Signed EDM 144 calling for a Nuclear Weapons Convention.

2009- Signed EDM 1883 calling for Trident to be included in the Defence Review. Signed EDM 660 calling for a delay in the Initial Gate of Trident Replacement.

14 March 2007 - Voted against the Government motion which called for the renewal of Trident

21 February 2007 - Told Scotland's for Peace - "I will be voting against the replacement of Trident. "

November 2006 - Replied to survey saying he is not decided to opposed the upgrading or replacing of Trident and said -

"Having called for the debate, it seems to me that I cannot then come to a conclusion without having heard the terms of that debate, or indeed consulted with my constituents on the matter. I can assure you that I do intend to consult widely with my constituents on the issue, and will certainly take strong account of the views expressed by the supporters of your letter of 13th November"

2005/06 - Supported EDM 2703 calling for a debate before a decison is made on Trident Replacement and EDMs 1113 and 1197 calling for a debate.
